KUMO SHIBORI

This high-neck, long-sleeved cardigan was made with tie-dying conducted on a light, thin, smooth tricot jersey material that uses extremely fine yarn at a high density, in Arimatsu, a production area for traditional tie-dying. The collar and hem design incorporates three-dimensional protrusions through applying the Kumo Shibori process, in which parts of the fabric are tied by hand. It can be folded and stored compactly in the included drawstring pouch made from the same material.
